Nicolas TeNyenhuis
Nicholas TeNyenhuis is a compassionate Clinical Coordinator, Primary Therapist, and Group Facilitator dedicated to supporting individuals through recovery and mental‑health transformation. With experience across inpatient, outpatient, and community‑based settings, Nicholas blends evidence‑based practices with genuine connection to help clients build resilience, emotional regulation skills, and long‑term stability.
Nicholas has facilitated a wide range of therapeutic groups—including relapse prevention, coping skills, mindfulness, and emotional regulation—and has provided individual, group, and family therapy for clients with substance use and co‑occurring disorders. He is known for his ability to build rapport quickly, meet clients where they are, and create a safe, supportive environment that strengthens motivation for change.
In addition to his clinical roles at Recovery Centers of America and Better Life Recovery, Nicholas brings a unique holistic background as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, yoga instructor, health coach, and pranic healer. This integrative approach allows him to support mind‑body wellness while guiding clients through evidence‑based recovery practices.
Nicholas has also contributed to community outreach, program development, and patient engagement initiatives, helping reduce AMA discharges, enhance care coordination, and expand access to services. Driven by purpose and a deep belief in every person’s potential, he is committed to meeting clients with empathy, hope, and unwavering support on their path to healing.
