James Calandra

James Calandra is the CMO and owner of Better Life Recovery Center. Growing up in Montvale, NJ, James witnessed the devastating effects of addiction firsthand with a family member, which fueled his desire to help those struggling with the disease of addiction.

James has an unwavering commitment to patient care. His role at BLR goes beyond that of a typical CMO and owner; he advocates for recovery resources for individuals struggling with addiction and works within the community to be a source of healing, hope, and inspiration.

Prior to BLR, James opened, owned, and operated Synergy Sobriety Solutions, a PHP/IOP in West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2020. He also owned and operated Broadway Hot Bagels from 1990 to 2021 in Bayonne, NJ.
